Jordan McNeill

Jordan McNeill is a second-year doctoral student in Applied Developmental Sciences and Special Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow at Elon University and completed her MAEd in Special Education with a focus on Low Incidence Disabilities at East Carolina University. Jordan spent four years as a teacher of students with autism in a self-contained elementary classroom in the Alamance-Burlington School System and then worked as a district-wide Autism Specialist, providing consultation and coaching to teachers across grade levels and settings. As a doctoral student, Jordan’s research interests include pre-service preparation and professional development for teachers of students with autism, social validity and implementation of evidence-based practices, and accessibility and inclusion of individuals with disabilities in community settings.
